01Why we exist

He always made time for students

From a small town to India's rocket programme, and then to classrooms across the world. We believe where you start should not decide where you go.

02How we work

Five rules we follow

  1. 01

    Dream boldly

Start with big questions. Ambition is where research begins.

  2. 02

    Question deeply

Read the paper. Check the assumption. Ask why, then ask again.

  3. 03

    Research rigorously

Clear methods, honest baselines, results others can reproduce.

  4. 04

    Build responsibly

Make models and tools that are safe, fair and actually useful.

  5. 05

    Share openly

Open code, open notes, open data. Knowledge grows when shared.

03Founders

Who started it

Dr. Kalam asked students to dream, and then to turn those dreams into work.

We started APJ-RAISE to give students a place to do that: read papers together, run real experiments, and share everything in the open.

Any college. Any country. If you are curious, there is a seat for you here.

04To be clear

What we are not

  • Not linked to Dr. Kalam

We are an independent student community inspired by his ideas. We are not linked to or endorsed by him, his family or any related institution.

  • Not a course seller

Membership, lessons, projects, quizzes and certificates are free. There is nothing to buy.

  • Not a university or a journal

We do not give degrees. Work on our Open Research page is a student community publication, not a peer-reviewed journal. You keep the copyright of your work.
